Atlanta Jr. Knights forward Evan Schieber has committed to D3 Worcester State University in Massachusetts. “Evan had a great year", said Coach Kevin St Jacques. "He’s a streaky goal scorer who scores in bunches." Evan led the Knights in goals (25) and was second in scoring with 49 pts. “What’s scary is I think Evan has another level that I hope he’ll bring out at Worcester State”, stated Coach Kevin. "Evan has a great shot along with very good speed. He definitely is suited for the next level if he stays confident and trusts his abilities."
"These last four years have been amazing” said Evan. "Playing close to home with guys I’ve grown up with and being able to share this with them has been great. I’d like to thank my teammates and my billets. Without them this doesn’t happen! I’m thankful for the opportunity the Knights Jr. program has provided me the last four years but I especially want to thank my coaches who have pushed me on and off the ice all those years. They have prepared me for the next step in my life and hockey career." Evan continues, "Most importantly, I really need to thank my parents. Without their help and support none of this would be possible."
"I’m proud to have been a Jr. Knight. I’m sad my Junior career is over but I’m extremely happy and look forward to attending school at Worcester State University while playing NCAA D3 hockey”, finished Evan.
